The Appleseed Learning Center was founded on the belief that the arts are essential to every child's complete development. While not every child will become a professional artist, every child deserves the opportunity to experience the joy of learning — to be seen, encouraged, and genuinely known.
Our educators serve as guides — observing children's interests, honoring their strengths, and tailoring instruction to meet individual needs. Classrooms are intentionally designed to encourage exploration, creativity, and hands-on learning that sparks critical thinking and self-expression.
At the heart of everything we do is a simple conviction: literacy and the arts are not extras — they are essential. The center was built with a central mission of developing the whole child through creativity, movement, and meaningful learning experiences. Today, that mission continues to grow as Appleseed plants seeds of excellence in every child we serve.

Our Mission
To provide a high-quality, full-inclusion Early Childhood Education Program that stimulates and fosters the physical, cognitive, language, and social development of children ages two to five — while supporting families with ongoing guidance, resources, and genuine partnership.

The parent organization — a licensed nonprofit founded by Linda Agyapong Reynolds in Miami, FL — has served the community all over Florida for nearly 30 years through arts education, literacy programs, and cultural enrichment.
The Appleseed Learning Center
Operating as a DBA of Community Book & Dance Academy, Appleseed launched in 2018 as a dedicated early childhood education center — bringing the same mission-driven, arts-integrated approach to children ages 2–5 in Pahokee.
When you enroll at The Appleseed Learning Center, you're supported by 8+ years of dedicated early childhood programming — and backed by nearly 30 years of community service through our parent organization.

Owner / Director / VPK Teacher
Founder and heart of The Appleseed Learning Center. A classically trained opera singer, ballet teacher, playwright, and children's book specialist, Linda built this center on the belief that every child deserves a joyful, inspiring start in life.
Ms. Tasha White
2 Years Old Teacher
Ms. Tasha brings warmth and patience to our youngest learners. Her nurturing approach creates a safe, loving environment where toddlers build confidence, language, and the social foundations they'll carry forward.
Ms. Edna Grant
3 Years Old Teacher
Ms. Edna guides our three-year-olds through a rich, play-based curriculum that balances structured learning with creative exploration — helping each child grow at their own beautiful pace.

Administration Assistant
Ms. Sue-Ann is the welcoming face and organizational backbone of Appleseed. She ensures families receive timely support, smooth enrollment experiences, and always feel genuinely at home from the moment they walk through our doors.
Mr. Dadma Edmond
Executive Administrative Assistant
Mr. Dadma Edmond supports daily operations by managing administrative tasks, coordinating communication between staff and families, and ensuring the center runs efficiently. I assist with scheduling, bookkeeping, payroll and parent engagement while helping maintain a positive and organized learning environment. My role also includes supporting leadership with planning, enrollment processes, and overall program success.

Three-Step Sanitizing
Our standard for changing tables and all shared surfaces — applied rigorously, every time.

Books, toys, cubbies, and craft supplies are sanitized multiple times daily.
Handwashing Sing-Alongs
Handwashing becomes a fun routine that helps children build healthy habits from the start.
Tree Nut & Peanut Free
Our school is proudly free of tree nuts and peanuts to protect children with allergies.

Ratio Checks & Head Counts
The administration conducts periodic ratio checks in each classroom throughout the day. Staff members perform regular head counts during transitions, outdoor play, mealtimes, and restroom breaks to ensure all children are supervised and accounted for at all times.
Discipline Policy
The Appleseed Learning Center will not use any form of physical punishment. Teachers use positive reinforcement, redirection, and age-appropriate conflict resolution strategies. If a behavioral concern arises, parents are notified and a plan is developed collaboratively.
